Celebrate creativity, diversity and the cutting edge of contemporary classical music in a show that resonates long after the final note.Keyboard Warriors invites audiences to an extraordinary afternoon where thought-provoking conversation meets electrifying live music. The session opens with a keynote by Oli Rose from the Lang Lang Foundation, exploring creativity, opportunity and the transformative power of music. Next, three twenty-minute showcases reveal the breadth of today’s classical scene: pianist Yshani Perinpanayagam mesmerizes with virtuosic flair and genre-defying imagination; violinist Rebeca Omordia captivates with bold technique and expressive nuance; and Okiem, joined by a string ensemble, delivers a fresh, textural performance that challenges expectations. Brimming with energy and rich in variety, Keyboard Warriors is part of the Classically Black programme, championing representation, visibility and progression in classical music. Audiences will experience a dynamic celebration of individuality and artistry, discovering the voices shaping the future of the genre and leaving inspired by the bold new directions on display.
