Overview
First, you'll explore Tula, a Mesoamerican archeological site, which was an important regional center that reached its height as the capital of the Toltec Empire between the fall of Teotihuacan and the rise of Tenochtitlan. Upon arrival, you'll tour the site for about 2h hours, seeing huge stone sculptures of the Atlantes (Toltec warriors), ruins of ancient temples, and reliefs depicting local gods and sacred animals.Then, you'll visit the 62m high and 430m long Aqueduct of Xalpa (the Arcos del Sitio), built by the Jesuits in the 18th century. Later, you'll head to Tepotzotlán, a small 'Magic Town' famous for its impressive colonial architecture, pleasant historic center and baroque-style convent.After walking around the town and visit its famous Museum of Viceroyalty, you'll enjoy a relaxing drive back to Mexico City.
