Overview
Discover two of Mexico City's most iconic districts, Xochimilco and Coyoacan, and visit the world-famous Frida Kahlo Museum.First, you'll visit Xochimilco, a neighborhood that was declared part of UNESCO World Heritage in 1987. Once there, you'll enjoy a 1h private ride along its picturesque canals on a trajinera (a traditional flat-bottom boat decorated with colorful ornaments controlled by the boatman with a pole). While you're on the boat, you'll listen to traditional music performed by mariachi and try some traditional Mexican snacks.Next, you'll head to the historic neighborhood of Coyoacán, where you'll visit the Frida Kahlo Museum (La Casa Azul), where the painter lived almost all her life and created some of her most famous works. After a guided tour of the museum, you'll explore the neighborhood visiting its old churches and squares.Additionally, you can visit a local market and one of the oldest coffee-shops in the neighborhood where you'll be able to try original churros and delicious coffee from Veracruz. Finally, after a half-day of discoveries, you'll enjoy a relaxing drive back to your hotel.
