Overview
Come along on this tour and visit the beautiful city of Bath and Lacock from London! After departure from London, you'll make your way to the UNESCO world heritage site of Bath city center. Honey-colored stone dominates and shimmers through this ancient city and you'll get to enjoy a guided walk through its elegant Georgian streets. Your guide will tell you all about the royal patronage, architectural mysteries, and symbols of its grand neoclassical buildings. You'll see the famous Roman Baths, gothic Bath Abbey and explore the city connections to Jane Austen.You'll then move on to the next stop of the day at Lacock, a small ‘picture postcard’ village in the Wiltshire countryside. Remarkably, every village building is dated between the 13th-18th centuries, including the well-preserved gothic church and four pubs! The ruined ancient Abbey was also a Harry Potter film location and some episodes of Downton Abbey were filmed here too.There will always be coffee shops and places for bathroom breaks throughout the tour and the lunch location can be decided on the day. After you finish in Lacock, you will return back to London.
