Overview
We know that, at least at the time of the Roman Empire, the culture of wine and vines was already part of the habits and traditions of the populations that inhabited the territory that is now Alentejo. We invite you to put your 5 senses to the test. Find in this authentic experience the undeniable beauty, knowledge, and flavors of one of the most surprising regions of Portugal, Alentejo! Known for being one of the best wine tourism destinations in Portugal, on this tour we propose an encounter with excellent Alentejo wine, the unique landscape made of undulating and green fields, cork oaks, olive trees and a walnut orchard. Located in the demarcated region of Alentejo, Herdade de Coelheiros extends over approximately 800ha, including 600ha of cork oak forests, 50ha of vineyards in selected plots, 40ha of walnut orchard and a vast area of sheep, deer and fallow graze freely. Travel between attractions is carried out in a Mercedes-Benz minivan. The visit to Herdade de Coelheiros is made by jeep with a guided tour of the estate's specialized guide. Go to the Village of Arraiolos and meet the main character of this Alentejo village: the famous Arraiolos Rug.
