Join The Night Shift for a programme that proves every string can sing like an aria.Step into the world of Mozart reimagined for strings alone. The Night Shift presents a programme spanning his earliest String Quartet No. 4, composed at sixteen, through the masterful Divertimento for string trio, to the lush movements of String Quartets Nos. 14 and 15 and the familiar strains of Eine kleine Nachtmusik. Interlaced are fresh string arrangements of his most famous opera arias, revealing the innate drama and lyricism of Mozart’s voice without a singer in sight. Under the sensitive direction of principal violist Max Mandel, these ensembles bring clarity, warmth and theatricality to every phrase, inviting listeners to hear Mozart’s operatic soul resounding purely through bow and string. This is chamber music illuminated—an intimate journey through melody, harmony and emotion.
