Indulge in wine and canapés before an inspiring programme spanning four centuries—every ticket supports Music in Hospitals & Care.Step into the warm acoustic of the historic St James Garlickhythe Church in central London on Thursday 24 September for an evening where artistry meets compassion. From 6:30pm, guests will savor wine and canapés beneath amber-hued lighting that accentuates stone arches and wooden pews, before taking their seats at 7:30pm for a thoughtfully curated programme led by Grammy-winning pianist Christopher Glynn, internationally acclaimed soprano Rowan Pierce and oboist Julia White. Across movements from Handel’s Baroque elegance and Schubert’s lyrical introspection to Fauré’s Romantic warmth and contemporary reflections on music’s role in care, each performance illuminates the power of a live musical encounter. Glynn’s nuanced keyboard lines, Pierce’s crystalline soprano voice and White’s evocative oboe solos weave a tapestry of sound that celebrates music in its many forms—praised, imagined, remembered and shared. Running until approximately 9:20pm, this soirée of exceptional music also raises vital funds to extend Music in Hospitals & Care’s outreach into hospitals, care homes and community spaces across the UK.
