Prepare to be captivated by new creations and timeless masterpieces in one unforgettable evening.Ballet Nights weaves a dynamic tapestry of ballet’s rich traditions and bold innovations. The evening opens with the crystalline Spring Waters Pas de Deux, in which two dancers intertwine in an ode to renewal, followed by the solemn beauty of Pie Jesu, a pas de deux suffused with tender reverence. Audiences are then carried through a trio of world premieres—from the sculptural stillness of Breath to the elegiac waves of On the Nature of Daylight and a playful New Work—showcasing choreographic visions by Clarke, Naghdi, Lee, Haw, Ward, Muniz, Bell, Keefe and other emerging artists. After intermission, Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld erupts into comedic spectacle with spirited ensemble dancing before the mythic intensity of Loki unfolds in a dramatic exploration of fate and defiance. The program culminates in MacMillan’s Elite Syncopations, a jubilant jazz-infused finale that crackles with energy. Throughout the night, a diverse musical palette—from liturgical choral scores to minimalist soundscapes—underpins an evening where heritage and experimentation dance side by side.
